A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That provider processes the query and supplies the result; we do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email sent to us as needed to answer it. The message remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical information when a page loads:

The site explains how to request Inyo County material from the Sheriff, Superior Court, California Department of Justice, and California Megan’s Law Website. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern information submitted to those tools, and we do not control those practices. Review the provider’s policy before running a query.

Links may lead to Inyo County offices, California agencies, courts, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to track activity across websites for targeted ads.
